Windows 10 another fiasco

Nothing has changed with Microsoft. Every time they have a new version most people cringe at the thought of  upgrading.  I always look forward to the new version of the iPhone and iPad but with Microsoft you know that it may not even work and your productivity will drop dramatically as you struggle to learn the new things they've foisted upon you that are totally unnecessary.

 One of my sons decided to be an earlier adopter and paid dearly for it, having to completely rebuild his computer. One of my good friends just went through a similar fiasco. He actually had to wipe his drive clean and reinstall windows seven from a back up and then go through the agony of reinstalling software and bringing files down from Carbonite. How awful. I will cling to Windows 7 until they pry it out of my hands.

An absurd medical cost

The absurdity of our health care system when a 2 hour procedure installing a device that probably has a unit cost under $100 can cost over $100,000. Hopefully Medicare is really is only paying $11K which is a more realistic cost. Pity the person who has no insurance.

The Audacity of VW

It's pretty unbelievable that a major corporation would sanction something like this. And I am surprised that it took testing agencies to find it considering the fact that many people at VW had to have known and once 2 or more people know  you can never be sure it won't leak. I hope they incur major penalties and fines and huge lost in future sales. Plus there should be a criminal investigation if possible. The EPA should demand to see every line of code looking for something like this.
